Attachments not appearing in Chrome or Firefox

For some reason inline attachments aren't displaying in posts. Instead you get a broken thumbnail - but you can view the pic in the image viewer once you click it. However, it seems to work just fine in IE.

What gives?

Link please?

And, do you use thumbnails? And does the usergroup have permission to view thumbnails?

Here's an example:

And yes, I use thumbnails and have the correct permissions.

Okay, it seems they only appear in IE if I'm logged in. They just appear as links as if I'm a guest. However, they still don't appear in Firefox or Chrome when I'm logged in.

Then it doesn't sound like the usergroups have permissions when logged in. Check Forum Permissions > find forum > edit usergroup.

This is what I see in Chrome:

I see the same in firefox. Are you using the *exact* url you posted without the www at the beginning?

Jubei 01-16-2013 06:29 PM

Okay... Those images are displaying now. *HOWEVER*, in my private section the thumbnails are still crossed out. Now I've checked both forum & usergroup permissions for myself and they're activated, so again I'm stumped.

It's very difficult to help when we cannot see the problem. And why would the images on that page suddenly show up? What did you do that made that happen?

Jubei 01-16-2013 08:04 PM

Turns out they all show up if there's 'www' at the start of the url. Is there a way to fix this so they display either way?

Lynne 01-16-2013 11:45 PM

Use .htaccess and redirect all non-www traffic to www.site.com. Just do a google search on it or search here since it has been posted several times here also.

Nvm. Thanks, Lynne.
