Yahoo as host?
 

We ended up signing up with SiteGround since they said they have vBulletin support.

The support has turned out to be not the greatest. Plus cPanel isn't as easy to get around as what I'm use to.

I have regular websites hosted on Yahoo and they have always given me good support.

So I was wondering about moving our vBulletin forum to Yahoo to host. Yahoo doesn't known vBulletin
but at least I'm not totally lost over there.

Has anyone used Yahoo as a webhost for vBulletin? How is it going?

i`d recommend www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk i`ve been with then a few months now on there cloud vps and its not gone down once and the support is the best i`ve used most the time you get a reply in a few min

I would recommend getting used to cpanel.
It is pretty much a standard control panel installed on most webhosting providers.
Cpanel can be confusing at first I agree. I was the same as you at first. I really do recommend sticking with it and asking the question you have and learning.
Once you start to get used to it, it is really not as scary as it first looks. And you will be happy you stuck with it.

As regards to the host, I hear very good things about http://www.liquidweb.com

I have used yahoo as host before. and lost data due to server issues.
support is awfull, not helpfull at all. stay away from them.

I would advice you to stay away from yahoo when it comes to their domain as well as hosting.

They don't provide instant support to your emails, it usually takes about 3days, when i tried to move my domain from yahoo to namecheap.

that is true, it takes two or tree days to answer a ticket, and the answer is always the same:
all is your fault.

We have used them for 8 years, Service has always been fine. They just have a few unique ways they do things.

I would stay away from these big hosts, GoDaddy, Yahoo, etc... they are cheap but their shared servers is severely limited
