avatars not showing after upgrading to 4.2?? help??
 

i upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.2 and all my avatars are not appearing now.

new location for the avatars are now:
http://privateserverforums.com/avata...ine=1311990267

but no image!

ive tryed renaming to /avatars/ no luck any help please? im using same template changed nothing. except upgrading.

And if you ftp to your site, do you see the avatars in the /avatars directory?

yeah since i copyed folder. they are like: avatar1068_2.gif

What do you mean "new location" and "copyed folder"

Neither of those are what you do with an upgrade..

well i was using cusomavatars which i have not changed. i just upgraded and all avatars dissapeared. same directory in settings.

Then what are you talking about regarding copying the folder? I was simply asking if the directory is there and if it is chmod to 777. If you just added it, then you need to run Rebuild Custom Avatars again after creating it.

So if you are adding .htaccess and then it isn't working, then there is something wrong with your .htaccess.

mmm when im logged in i cant see that image, how come? must b something with permissions? i cant find where tho

edit** reason y that appeared is becase i uploaded my own image to see where it was saves on ftp but cant find it. i think the activity addon messed it up somehow.

It looks like you have messed up the CSS for your activity page. You should revert the changes you made in the css templates or whichever template you modified just before that got messed up.
