The problem is that the widget generates the following:
Main dishes> Meat (0)
Main dishes> Fish (0)
Main dishes> Bird (1)

And how to display the menu of categories in the following form:

Main dishes
+ - Meat (0)

+ - Poultry (1)

I believe you would need to modify the code directly in /packages/vbcms/widget/category* (whichever one you are talking about)
