Usergroup Management

I'm looking for some help with Usergroups. Id like to be able to add members to a specific usergroup without the need of doing them one by one. Basically like a mass add of certain members. I don't want to use the promotion system as its not what I need.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Do you know the userids or you'll use a multiple selection droplist to select users?

Edit: Also do you want to change the primary usergroup for these members, or just add this usergoup in user's additional usergroups?

Yes the user id's will be the profile ID's so i have got them. I want to add them to additional groups if I can.

Thanks for the quick reply.

How many user do you need to move?

This is very easy to do, would only take 10mins to set up the new user group.

Ok. I'll try to find 1-2 hours later today to make a normal puroduct xml file, which will do this work. It will be an menu option in your admincp in case that you want to reuse it at a later time. If not, then just unistall the product file after finishing your job.

Chris

that would be amazing if you could.

I regular move members into different groups for a variety of reasons. If I could have a way of mass moving them in one go that would save me loads of time.

Thanks again Chris

Ok, here you go. I added some more features to make it more valuable. What left out is the rollback function in case that you want to remove an upgrade. This will be ready tomorrow. I also added a list of all your upgrades to have them as history (or to rollback one).

Download and unzip the file. Upload all files from folder uload to your vb installation. Import the product-upgradeusers.xml. Now you'll be able to find a menu option "Upgrade User(s)". Click there and start adding TESTING UPGRADES !!!. I've tested it before, but do the same.

Chris
PS- I'll reply to your PM tomorrow. I'm too tired now.

Fantastic mod that works brilliantly. Thank you very much for your time and effort.

I've added the rollback feature, plus the ability to select if you want the upgrade to be on changing the primary usergroup, or adding it as additional.

You can find the files at: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2387176
