REQ: Flashchat 6 Integration for vBulletin 4.x
 

This mod is no longer support and has had the download file removed. Does anyone have a copy of the last version available that they can email me?

I wouldnt suggest running flashchat, that script hasnt been updated in over a year, no telling how many security holes it may have.

Unfortunately there is no good alternative. There are commercial programs, but I don't want to spend $100+ annually. And I need something that shows the users in a widget on the front page. FlashChat is the only cheap program that does it.

If you want a chat room, why not use IRC and integrate it into vB? You can also see an example of this on my page. Click webchat on the navbar. If you'd like assistance implementing any of those let me know.

I looked into CometChat before, but a Facebook-like chat program isn't something I'm interested in. I want a good ol' chat room.

I looked into IRC too, but the problem is there is no way I've been able to find to get the users participating in chat shown in a widget. I can do that with FlashChat. When we have users listed as in chat it has shown to encourage participation. When the list wasn't working chat was virtually non-existent.

It has a good ol' chat room. You create one and then people can join it...

It's something like that but, again, I need something that lists users that are using chat in a CMS widget. I could never get one working proper for IRC chat.
