CMS: Insert author avatar to the left of Article Title.
 

I want to put a small version of the author's avatar next to the title on articles, much like is done in the widgets and Activity Stream for posts and comments.

I know there has to be a way of doing this, because something similar is done in the Activity Stream and the Recent Posts widget, but it eludes me.

I've looked at all the templates, and the only thing I can find for the places where a user avatar is inserted is the CSS to determine the size. There's no logic explaining how to fetch the actual avatar based on the username.

That is how my News page looks right now, and those arrows explain where I want the avatars inserted. Currently, it appears that the templates would only style the avatars if vB already knows to fetch them, and it's not at all obvious how to tell vB to do that.
