What version of vB are you running and what version of PHP are you running?

vB 4.2 Patch level 3 and PHP 5.4.7

You need to turn off error reporting if you are going to use PHP5.4 with vB4.2. There is a bug report regarding this in Jira over on vb.com (and a whole thread about it).
