Attachment manager progress bar
 

hi, does anyone know of a mod to add a progress bar to the attachment manager.
we have a lot of vids being uploaded, and it would help to know how the uploads are going.

as it is sometime the manager just hangs, so you dont actually know if it was uploaded or not.

You should actually find out why the uploads timeout & fail, versus having a mod made to track its failure.

I would suggest a better server or its backbone connection to the net for starters.

ok we have a 3 server system, thats been running for 7 years floorlessly, we have over 200000 members with 3000000 attachments weighing in at 2.2tb. our average loads are 0.50 0.70 0.79 with 250 users online. we have 16gb ram, 8 proccessors, the server has been optimised for vbul by vb support.

i think our servers are fine, my issue is that when uploading anything over 5mg the manager hangs and hangs not giving any indication of progress, i think in v5 this has been addressed.

it would just be nice to have a progress bar that indicated progress.

i do get that in alot of cases gripes can mostly be put down to server quality/config but we have ours running optimally and this issue is just about a feature lack.

so... no ideas on this then, i cant be the only person that thinks this is lacking, every social media site that allows you to upload content gives you a progress bar, why not vb
