Review, Brand New Site
 

Hi there!

I am a veteran gamer and was looking to start up a community for the up and comming game Darkfall: Unholy Wars. Basically just a site to do some trading, flaming, and spec workouts. I still have not finished all of the colors, but would love to get some negative/positive feedback on the site itself. Please be as harsh as you can, I am a gamer and am used to constructive criticism.

Also to note:

The icon legend is not changed yet.
Some of the colors under forums are not yet complete.
The forum is a ghost town.

Hey, the header needs some tweaking. I would work on the banner, right now the text is very hard to read.

The skin looks pretty decent to me but i would prefer the back ground to be changed as an end user (It hurts my eyes)

Instead of making this thread (Unable To Post? READ THIS FIRST!) all over the site, why not make an global announcement?

Also do work on the log in panel, post bit legacy & show thread page.

Also get a favicon.

Ditto that - the header is awful. Black text on a brown background? You cannot see the sitename at all, which is supposed to be the most prominent part of your header. I would completely redesign it, giving it more of a brand and likely carry the theme to other parts of the design like the forum index icons.

Thanks I will work on those things. Although I thought there was a favcon there. Shows it on my browsers. Weird I hope this is not an issue.

Yeah - I see the favicon now too. It didn't show earlier - but seems fixed now.
BTW - You might try a color like the following for your site text #bdbb94

The color is nice, I do not like the font though. Looks a little to much like Age of Conan font. Think Darkfall font, or something medieval type. When I see that font for some reason I think of the desert.

The site seems to be down...not sure how this font/title would look...

Is that harry potter text?
