Error - Whats new/new posts

Hello today out of the blue when clicking on new posts or whats new tab i get a generic 500 internal server error. Nothing has been changed or modified so this is unexpected. Can anyone suggest how to go about resolving this please. I want to add my board is heavily modded but everything has been working fine for the past few months so i believe its non related.

Cheers!!

A 500 error is a server error. You will need to check your server logs to see what is going on.

talk to your host

i did they wrote me this

Researching and testing your issue has brought me to believe the root cause is possible the vBulletin being outdated. Try updating to the latest stable version and see if this has resolved the issue. Underlining issue seems to be within the search function.

Thank you.

im using 4.1.4

So they won't let you view the actual logs or tell you what they said?

What version of PHP are you running? Did you ask your host if they have done any maintenance on the server lately, and if so, what?

That was the only answer hey gave me, they aksed how i was getting the error and i told them to log into the forum and click the tabs. i have since asked them for the server error logs

they say they have changed nothing

php 5.3.17

i have notices its the whats new , new posts and search bar dosent work. everything else seems fine

this is what they sent me for an error log

Hello,

Thank you for your patience during this time. Here are the error I was able to locate from the logs that pertain to this specific issue:

[Tue Oct 23 15:20:55 2012] [error] [client 72.29.91.44] Premature end of script headers: search.php, referer: httx://www.xxxx.com/forum/login.php?do=login

This usually means there is an encoding error on the file, the file is corrupted, or there is a syntax error in the coding.
