A 'bot' for automated thread posting
Hello,
I am hoping a resident expert around here can help me with my situation here. I am running vBulletin as a tool with my fellow developers and we would like for vBulletin to interact with some external applications. I just don't know where to start looking. I am not requesting any special developer help, I just need insight on how or IF this can be done. I am pretty sure it is possible. NOTE: I am not a coder or programmer by any means. A simple explanation of what I'd like to do is: GOAL: Create some kind of "bot" that can communicate with the forum's database so that it can generate new threads in a given forum/sub-forum location. This bot would be triggered by an external Windows application that is written in C Sharp. Possible? Something that makes MySQL database entries on the fly? I am interested in hearing what ideas you guys might have! Thanks, David |
You can take a look at the datamanager for how threads are created, as for the bot you'd need to post your request in mods unpaid or mods paid for a solution.
