"prune/move users" section: search options are TOO limited
I like the "prune/move users" section in the ACP, but the options are SO limited it's almost useless for mass pruning users against certain criteria.
I want to screen members using the sort of advanced search options you find in the "search for members" function in the ACP Is this possible? |
There is no way to do that in vb without a modification, and I don't know of an exitsing one. I think you could use sql to do it, by creating a query to move users to a temporary usergroup (by setting the value of user.usergroup), then use Prune/Move users to delete all users in that group.

licensinglinks, that's exactly what I've been meaning to start a thread about! Well done for raising it.
I find the Search functionality simply awesome and it's a real shame there isn't an option to then delete or move all the users filtered using that search feature. If I search for an IP and find 50 accounts registered with a given IP, I can't just delete those 50 accounts - I have to either open them up one by one or do the deletion at the database level (which is an unnecessary complication). |
This is certainly a needed function in an admin's toolbox. I use a field to note a subscriber's last payment. Something as simple as searching for all subscribers in user groups AND search for a specific year in field "last subscription date."
Subscribers out of date range could then be moved to Registered in one process. |
