HOME Navigation Tab Issue (VB 4.2.0)

VBulltetin 4.2.0 has been a nightmare for me, due to all of my customized Nav Tabs (and subnav links). I have all of them straightened out now except my "Home" tab, to which my customized subnav links canNOT be added in the Navigation Manager.

I can't seem to add sub-navigation menu links to the HOME tab (CMS) in any way at all. (I realize that, if I edit each document, I can use "Sections to Display in Navbar Sub-Menu," but that is only for article categories ... I canNOT add my custom "Paid Subscriptions" subnav link.)

Anyway, in the previous iteration (VB 4.1.12), I was able to go into my vbcms_navbar_link template and make the simple global changes that I wanted to all my Home/Content documents, but I seem unable to to this with VB 4.1.20.

Is there anyone who knows how to customize the Home Tab with subnavigation links? I know the default "Welcome" subnavigation link *is* globally displayed on all CMS, so I know there has to be a corresponding template "somewhere" to which a few other custom subnav links could be added for global display also :)

If anyone could help me find this VB 4.2.0 Home Tab mystery, I would be very grateful!

Jack

So, why can't you use "Add Menu" in the Navigation Manager? Are you saying it doesn't work like it should?

You lost me here - I don't seem to have any "Welcome" link or menu in my CMS.

1. Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. The Navigation Manager won't work on the Home Tab. Try it and see.

2. Hmmm, well, I do so I don't know what to say about that ... mine does (??)

It sounds like you have a custom style that doesn't work with the Navigation Manager. Try the Navigation Manager with a totally default style and see what happens.
