Assigning Custom Membership Numbers from field input

I want to assign all new members on my forum a Membership Number that is generated from information that they input during registration.

The following three fields will make up the Membership Number

STATECODE (eg. WA)
POSTCODE (eg. 6000)
PHONE NUMBER (eg. 1234567)

So this users membership number will be generated as follows: WA60001234567

Preferably, this generated membership number will be stored as a hidden field in the users profile only accessable to Admin.

Advice appreciated.
