Is it safe to remove this line of code?
Hi,
In vBulletin 3.8 within template SHOWTHREAD there is the following line of code: Code:
<label for="qr_quickreply"><input type="checkbox" name="quickreply" value="1" id="qr_quickreply" accesskey="w" tabindex="4" />$vbphrase[quote_message_in_reply]</label> I'd like to remove that line of code that way I'll be able to get rid of that unused feature on my forum. However I can see that the code is passing a default value ("1") to the checkbox. The question is: if I remove that line of code, what default value the checkbox will have? I believe that if I remove that line, that checkbox isn't going to exist anymore but I think that the PHP files will be expecting a value for that checkbox so what value the PHP files will take? Maybe they will get a wrong default value of "0"? I don't know... please tell me if it's safe to remove that line of code. Thank you. |
If you want to make sure it keeps a certain value, you can change it to type="hidden", and remove the label, like:
Code:
<input type="hidden" name="quickreply" value="1" id="qr_quickreply" /> |
