Duplicate Users : imported_
Hi, I merged two of my forums and realised that about 4,000 users were present in both so now I have a big load of imported_username.
From my searching on this forum, i note that editing the User table itself is not a good idea. Any tips on how to fix this up? An idea I had was to change all the imported_ to "oldforumname-username" or something like that... but that again involves a mass update query on the user table.:confused::confused: Thank you in advance |
Are they the same users, so that you'd like to merge the accounts? Or is it just the imported_ thing you want to get rid of? I think you would probably need a php script to change the user names (assuming you don't want to do 4000 of them manually through the admincp), since there are a number of tables that need to be changed.
