Remove smilies from thread title?
 

Hi everyone,

When posting a new thread you can choose an icon for your message which will display in front of the title and is a pain to remove. We don't have a need for these "icons" at all. How can I remove them as options for all future threads and remove the ones attached to current threads?

Just to be clear, I don't mean remove smilies from my site, only the ones that are "post icons". Smilies within a post are fine.

Ok, maybe I didn't explain myself well enough. Please see attachment for example of what I want to remove. The red smiley on the left represents the post icons I want to get rid of.

Those are in your /images/icons folder. You have a few options I guess, delete them, rename the folder, (both of which would probably result in broken images), replace each image with a transparent one of equal size. There are probably other options you should consider but my train of though derailed :(
