under the What's Going On? i see banned & Awaiting Email Confirmation members how can i turn them off

Are you talking about on the forum.php page under the heading What's Going On or are you talking about on the online.php page?

ForceHSS is talking about a setting under Admincp > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager

I am sure I made it very clear when I said edit the user group as Lynne pointed it out even clearer for you above

BadBoy, sometimes you need to make a bit of effort to find things yourself otherwise people won't be willing to help you.

ForceHSS said to edit the usergroup. Do you know where in the AdminCP you can find and edit the usergroup? If not you really need to get more familiar with the Admin control panel first.
