[Help Please] Drop Down menu error
 

Greetings to all!

First I'd like to say I'm somewhat new to doing all this forum stuff, so please excuse me if I am not very descriptive in my problem.

On my forum, I've noticed that the drop down menus (see picture 1) aren't working.

Basically what happens, is when you hover over it, the menu appears, but when you go to click a link, the menu disappears before you can click it.

I've tried this on multiple themes and it hasn't worked.

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this please!

Also, another problem I've had is I can't switch themes. When I go to the theme selector at the bottom of the forum, I can select a different forum from the drop down box, however I'm not allowed to click it to get to the theme. How do I fix this?

Are you having issues with the editor loading as well.
Meaning, is the page loading very slow?
I am having this very problem on a site.
When I visit a thread, the editor will not load & it also effects the drop downs for me.

From what I have been told is it has something to do with server side java. I am still looking for the fix as well.

1. Disable your plugin system via config.php
2. Create a default vb style
3. Browse the site using the default style

Does the menus work?

If they do, then re-enable the plugin system & test again, whats the result?

If they dont work, upload a fresh copy of all your default vb files via ftp.

This is most likely a coding issue with your customized style or a conflict with a poorly designed hack you installed.

I was unable to find where in the config.php I needed to disable the plugin system... Where would I do this?

Yes, the editor is also bugged. It doesn't show any of the buttons.

Second line after the <

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then re-save
