Restrict cookies to top level domain only

Hi there,

This cookie post is different to my last. I have my forums based on my top level domain www.example.com and i want to serve static content from static.example.com. How do I restrict all cookies from using the sub domain?

After checking most cookies have gone but there are still two left in the response header:

Cookie: subw_lastvisit=1345907114; subw_lastactivity=0

Can anyone help me out, I've looked everywhere.
