Future Thread Creation ( Post threads at a future date/time)

IF there's a mod that can already do this in vb4 I couldn't find one when searching for it....

I would like to somehow add a "future post" date/time and pre-create a few threads.

ex: Lets say someone has a birthday coming up soon, I'd like to create a personalized thread that'll post in the early morning hours of the birthday for that user.

Or since I operate a sports forum, I would like to create topics for specific games that would auto-post on the day of the game....

Or another application I would use it for is a "question of the day" type feature where I can set them up for a few days at a time so incase I'm a little busy, these topics will still post.

I don't know how exactly this could be implemented, but my hope is that it would be similar to posting a new thread, only we'd just select a future date/date time... maybe they'd only be shown for to a specific usergroup (ex: admins) as a sticky-type post (where we can see them but "normal" users cannot?) until a given time (when it's officially "posted")

(in fact there seems to be a previous attempt of something like this here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=170316 ) although it doesn't seem to have ever worked well.

Get what I'm saying? sorry if I'm a little unclear

Thanks

would be a nice addon indeed.

You could try contacting the author of that mod if he can update his mod.

Or you can make a request in Requests For Paid Services

Did you have any luck with this? I'd like it, too.

I have a version of this I wrote that I've been using. Been waiting for someone to follow peugeot405's advice.
