vb.org Archive - Moving Server, Advice/help?

I have a Heavily modded Vbulletin forum that I will shortly be moving to a dedicated server from shared hosting I thought the community might have some tips on this, perhaps a particularly good guide tucked away somewhere?
I've never moved servers and would appreciate any help/advice that people can offer
my new server will be running Ubuntu, I believe I then just have to install Lamp, move the Site(perhaps changing some stuff in config?) and Databases over and change my domain nameservers
