Nexia's Personal Favicon per Member
1 Attachment(s)
# What it does is simple... if your users have an avatar, it will show in the navigation bar of their browser instead of the default favicon. If you visit a member's profile who has an avatar, this one will show up!
... see the screenshot for an example, or browser nexialys.net for a live version. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...hmentid=140230 # How to present this to your members... in your own words. but you can start a contest that the best avatar will win something, or make a poll for the best one, etc... it encourage interaction between members! ... and the avatar is good so the members know they are part of something! update: will now show user's avatar on member profile, blog and album. if you know some places where it would worth to show, only personal pages i forgot, just tell! update #2 (july 31): now you can see your favicon besides your Welcome message in the toplinks... like in facebook !!! update #3 (aug. 1st) corrected bug on page display inside blog section when no user selected... |
in the next release *(like in the next minutes) the action will act on someone's blog as well... i just remembered the blog... ;)
edit: done! |
Cool :)
Two files for the Product in the folder? It Looks like it's not blog ready. It brings up archive page ?....edit.....when clicking on blog. |
files are because of my coding protocol... *(and because of vB 5.0)
i need a little test on additional pages, but basically it works on my installation... so i suppose i need further tests on other pages. and what about the archive ?! my engine is not touching any code in these areas, just one variable that is deleted after usage, so if something is messed out on your site, nothing related to this script, sorry. |
You also didn't mention in your read me to upload the contents in the this upload folder to your forum root before installing the .xml plugin...
This can confuse some users... |
Nice idea, Good work :)
