How do I upgrade Vbulletin

Hi,

I am running version 4.1.3 and would like to upgrade to the latest version.
I read in the manual that I just need to enter the files from the patches, but when I did it my forum went down.
How do I upgrade to the latest version?

Download the version you wish to upgrade to at members.vbulletin.com.
Extract to a folder on your Desktop.
Open vb4_readme.html
???
PROFIT!

Hi,

If you are refering to downloading a full version, won't it run over all the designs that I did in my forum?

If you want to upgrade, yes, you have to download the full kit and kaboodle. No, it won't over-write you current Styles, if that's what your referring to. It will over-write any hard-coded default vBulletin files, but not plugins.

If you will upgrade to the latest version of 4.1.x then your custom style will not need any changes. But if you upgrade to 4.2.0 then the custom style might need a few changes to work properly.
