Disable Quick Reply in Private Messages
 

Description:
Very simple modification that disables Quick Reply when a User is viewing a Private Message. Created for someone on vBulletin.com that wanted the option.

Instructions for Use:

1. Simply download the .xml file that is attached.
2. Upload using Product Manager.
3. The setting is located at AdminCP -> Options -> Private Messaging Options.

Notes:
I'm always looking to improve my work for the people that enjoy using it. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve this hack then please leave a comment and I'll see what I'm able to do. Don't forget to 'Mark As Installed' if you've got it installed!

The reason I wanted to disable quick reply in private messages, is because I'd get replies to private messages I sent a long time ago without a quote of my original message. Leaving me to guess what it was all about. I didn't find this mod for 3.8, but I did find another solution to the problem, a mod called advanced quick reply if I remember right. Apart from adding all features of the full message editor to quick reply for posts and private messages, it has the option of automatic quoting in the private message quick reply.

Working fine for vB 4.2.3...
