Quick Editor Attachment Restriction
 

When entering a reply with the quick editor, the insert image tool is available and will upload images to be inserted in the post. Why is the upload restricted to jpg, gif and png?

I would like to be able to enable all attachment types from the attachment manager at this point. If the function uploads a file and creates a pointer to it, there need not be any restriction of the file types beyond what is defined in the Attachment Manager.

Is there some hook that could be used to change this behavior?
