Review my site?

Well as a newbie I have been doing some work on my site and would like some feedback. I am sure there is more room for improvement and your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

very nice job, i like it. Nice logo and color scheme .

however, there are 3 things that i would change:
  1. replace the status icons with custom ones.
  2. put a border around username and password in toplinks.
  3. fix the sidbar title.

Leave everything else as it is. :up:

p.s. post a link to your site so people can find it. :D

Thanks for the feedback. which sidebar title were you speaking of?

I have been looking for some new icons that would match my style to avoid having to make them myself, but no luck so far.

I will mod the border today :)

I thought the link would be obvious from the signature picture :erm:

Thanks again!

This is how I am seeing your site main news page (pic 1) so I would say it is not aligning correctly. The forum side your follow me text seem to be off a bit (pic 2)

Strange, the main news page is showing correctly to me.

On the forum sidebar , the title of the widget is a bit off (see pic2 in previous post).

Yeah I am not sure how to align the widget header on that. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I am not sure how to align the widget header on that. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated.

my monitor is 1600 by 900 pixels

add this code to additional css:

Code:

#sidebar_container .blocksubhead span.blocktitle {
    display: block;
    float: none;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding-left: 3px;
    white-space: nowrap;
    width: auto;
}

for the border around username and password in toplinks add this in additional css:

Code:

.toplinks form input {
    border: 1px solid #727559;
    border-radius: 0 0 0 0;
    font-size: 11px;
    margin: 3px 0 0;
    padding: 1px;
    vertical-align: baseline;
}

Thank you ! Okay the sidebar fix worked, but the toplinks border did not.

I'm looking at your site right now.

the side bar is fixed.

The background from toplinks is gone and toplinks are to low.

Do you remember the color that you used?
