Minimum Post Count Required To Post Blog Entries
 

Description:
This hack will stop your users from posting new blog posts until they reach a certain post count in your forums. This is a good way to prevent spambots from registering and posting mindless junk in your blogs and saves your moderators/administrators from cleaning up afterwards. Pretty much everything in this modification is configurable. Choose whether the modification is active, how many posts are needed, which groups are affected and even set a custom error message.

Installation:

1. Simply download the product xml from below and import it using the Product Manager in your Admin CP.
2. Adjust settings by going to Admin CP -> vBulletin Settings -> Minimum Post Count Required To Post Blog Entries

This has recently become a problem on my boards. Certainly marked as installed! Great mod.

I appreciate this hack not just as a spam prevention but also as an incentive measure for users. Plus, it lets new users get a feel for the forum before "shooting away" with blogs all over the place.
