I am new to this vbulletin 4 style editting, so i getting use to it. But how would i go about editting the sub navbar that display the links new Posts, Private messages, Faq etc.

Also I would like to add a <br /> between the main Navbar and the Sub navbar. Again new to all this.

Are you using VB4.2? If so, the navigation manager will allow you to edit the links. As for adding the line break, You would have to find where to do that in the navbar template.

In vb4.2 you go to your admincp>>settings>>Navigation Manager and you will see the forum tab. Click the edit next to this tab and it will expand. Click Save. When the page reloads, all the sub-links will be displayed that go with that tab. You can now edit and change links as you like. Be sure to set them to Active so you can see your changes.

There is also a great modification here called: Navigation Manager Enhancements that adds functionality to the VB standard Navigation Manager.

Good luck to you,
Kether

No problem. I hope I helped. I've received so much help here myself, it is nice to be able to help someone else.

Gophers,
If you are new to using the StyleVars here is a link to a blog with pdf files to download. I will be the first to say that it's nowhere near 100% but it gives you a great head start.

Also what I find that helps a lot is using Firebug to help me find different templates, style variables, and or use it as a guide to help me out.

This will give you a good idea of the basic use:
