Custom Hack.
 

Hey. I'm looking to get my own web-site up and running. It will not be a forum based site. I only know one of its kind currently so I believe its a 'custom' mod/hack. I am not too familiar with coding and modifications, tho i have been a member of staff on a site that uses VBulletin V3.8 so i am somewhat familiar but on a beginners level. If anybody is interested or knows anybody that would assist, please let me know.

I am basically trying to find out is it worth purchasing the licence.

Side note: If your interested, I will explain my ideas in more detail (Plus a link to the other site with the hack/mod)..appreciate it :cool:

In fairness I think your unlikely to get any answers without giving out a little more detail. The question your asking is far too broad. Can you build a 'custom mod/hack'? Some can build small things, other people are fairly good with integrating with other software, others have the ability to write their own forum software if they had the masses of amount of time. Therefore not many are likely to answer as they will be unsure on the level of modification you require.

Unfortunately we do not allow questions about perspective mods until you are licensed.

Also if you are building a website that is NOT a forum then you do NOT want to use vBulletin anyway. I suggest you keep looking. Without details it's hard to know what would be best for you but try perhaps WordPress.
