I'm moving one of my forums over from Xenforo, help?

I want to move one of my forums over from Xenforo, but I have a dilemma. I am going to use gConverter since I don't think there is anything that can convert XF to vB clean, but that's not the problem.

I am in the process of buying a pretty huge forum (800k posts, 100k members using vB 4... I will be using vB 3). I don't know if I should finish the buy on the forum, merge with my XF forum, and then convert it over to vB 3... or convert it over from XF, then merge the vB 4 forum with the newly converted vB 3.

Any help or suggestions?

Personally I'd leave the "800K posts forum" as VB 4 and import the other XF forum into it.

Converting a vB4 back to vB 3 makes zero sense to me and I am 110% sure the members wouldn't be happy either as they would lose quite some comfort functions.

Well the site I'm buying basically died after they upgraded to vB4 because everyone was so unhappy with it. I'm just buying it because I went there throughout my childhood and the owner is about to shut it down.

My members on my XF site liked vB3 more, and the members on the vB4 site enjoyed vB3 more.

That's basically why I wanted to be on vB3.

I say go with VB3.... VB4 is such a joke with new updates and patches weekly. All the original coders went to XF after the new style of coding on VB4.... I will be on VB3 for the rest of my forum days. I get deal offeres all the time and will never buy the vb4
