Opinions on a couple of forum modification please

I'm wanting to download a couple of mods for my forum and was looking for some advice.

I am an ultra beginner and am very new at this so take that into consideration. I am new but not inept, and I have IT friends as backup if I have to.

I want to add Nav tabs and was thinking about this one

Tabs Add System for vBulletin 4 (sstab advanced)

And also an arcade section. Any tips there on whether an arcade in your forum creates pitfalls that you would not think about? I was thinking about this one:

v3 Arcade - Professional vBulletin Gaming (vB4)

And a chatbox like this
VSa - ChatBox (AJAX)

Any advice on these three mods would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

That's okay. I found it conflicted with certain vBulletin features in earlier versions of vBulletin 4.x so I switched to this one: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228507 - this has continued to work well right through to the most recent version of vB4.

Arcade add-ons may attract new members but they tend to stay in the arcade instead of participating in the forums. I had one for a while and dumped it.

I'd strongly advise AGAINST that or any chat box addp-on. Again, it detracts from content in your forums so it's a total flop for SEO. Second, they can be a nightmare to moderate. And third, they come typically with various security vulnerabilities.
