display contents of a thread on sidebar forum block?
 

anyone know if there is a mod out there to display the contents of a specific thread in the sidebar?

That would be done using a widget.

can u point me to what widget would do this please mate?

First place i'd look would be
./includes/block/threads.php

That is the code to display multiple threads from select forums. Wouldn't take much to modify it to show only one threads content.

Admin panel > VB CMS > Widgets > Create New > select which one you want > name it and save it > Now you can select configure and you should be able to selct "what thread" you want it to post and save. Then add the widget into your layout.

The stock widgets at the least show threads from a selected forum. He wants to show only one thread.

also i dont have vbcms. am using sidebar enabled in vbulletin 4 options
