Hiya guys

Just wondering, when I post a message, on the left hand side it says, name, location, post count, etc

How do I change the name of "location" because i want to change it to "Lives in"

Search for Location in Phrase Manager and change it to Lives In.

hmm, i dont think i'm doing it right, because theres lots of results when i search "location"

Isn't there some way where i can change it in a template?

You can edit your postbit (for user info on top) or postbit_legacy (for user info on left) and find $vbphrase[location_perm]. You can replace that with text if you want. Normally you'd want to use a phrase or modify the existing phrase as was mentioned above, but if you don't ever intend to translate your forum to another language then it probably won't matter.
