vBulletin gets its time from the server. Please note that just because a server is physically located somewhere does not mean it is set to use that time zone. You need to find the time zone of that server.

Next you need to set the timezone in the Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Date and Time Options to whatever you want the default to be, and the DST settings should match whatever settings are on the server.

The setting in the Admin CP is the default vB time for guests to view the board. Then each user needs to set their local timezones/DST in the User CP. If you do this correctly and the server time is correct, then the correct times will show.

This also assumes that you have not modified the footer template to affect the DST detection code in it.

Tell us exactly what settings you have changed and to what.

İ set my time format as H:i:s from admincp/ data and time settings but in footer the time now is: h:i :(

Worked just fine for me on my forum. Are you using a language and editing the language settings for this? Also, what version of PHP?

TTayfun 05-01-2012 08:11 AM

OS/PHP : Linux
İnternet server : Apache v2.2.16
PHP : 5.2.10-2ubuntu6

i use language but not remember editing or not edit. how can i check this?

Lynne 05-01-2012 03:58 PM

If you are using a language, you need to change the time settings in Admincp > Languages & Phrases > Language Manager > find Language > Edit Settings > Date/Time Formatting

Kindly please how can i override this and show +2 hours?

On my server is most websites in US timezone, but my vbuleltin is in European timezone. Any hack to show time +2 hours?

If you are wanting to change your server timezone, you will need to contact your host.

All times are GMT. The time now is 05:54 PM.
