User Names
 

I am trying to find a way to have users signup using there first and last name as their user name.
Anyone know where I can find step by step instuctions for doing this?

I don't think I have ever seen step-by-step instructions to do this.

well anything really to get me going on it... screenshots would help

I would guess you would make a couple of User Profile Fields that are mandatory at registration for First and Last Name. Then you would need to go through and write plugins, or edit templates, to replace the username with those profile fields. I'd say it is not going to be a quick, easy job.
