Jumps to vbulletin.org
For quite some time I have been having issues getting this site to load or navbar links to even open, images to load, ect....
I ran a tracert to vbulletin.org to see what my time was jumping around getting here & am suprised to see the results. TRACERT: Code:
C:\Users\Tim>tracert vbulletin.org To run a trace route to vbulletin.org or any site for that matter follow details below. On your computer click start button then click Run. Type in cmd, click ok In the CMD window that opens type in the following & click enter. Code:
tracert vbulletin.org Is anyone else on the (USA)east cost,mid-west having similar issues connecting to sites out west? |
Moved to the vb.org feedback forum.
I'm west coast (near San Francisco) and when I do a traceroute, it ends in time outs also and yet I have no problems on the site these days. Odd. |

Code:
Tracing route to vbulletin.org [98.158.195.239] (I assume the string of "Request timed out" at the end isn't what you're talking about, because I believe that just means it's hit a point where tracert packets aren't passed through). One problem I have been having (with vbulletin.org only) for the past couple of weeks or so: Sometimes I'll load a page and it will hang, and if I hit reload it doesn't help, but if I stop the page loading then hit reload, it loads right away. |
Although it doesn't seem to make a difference in this case you should technically be running the tracert to www.vbulletin.org which could be a different server then vbulletin.org.

ICMP is blocked by the IB firewalls, so you cannot ping to the server, nor will a tracert complete ok.
