[HELP] List of authors giving permission to use their games with ibProArcade?
 

I've been looking all over the Internet, but all I can seem to find are either these really shady downloads that seem like they might be illegal. Or this one site that wants me to pay a ridiculous fee to get games.

It's a bit difficult for me to believe that NO game authors have actually given their permission to use a freeware game or two. I don't feel comfortable just hunting down random Flash games and converting them myself without knowing whether I have permission, and half the time it's difficult to find out who the author of a given game is (or contact them) in any case.

I'd really prefer something a bit more organized and filtered here. Can't we have a list or something of authors that are verified OK, perhaps with links to their official websites?

Or, is this arcade situation such that the only legal games are the ones included with it? I'm just really not happy with this whole situation of not being able to easily find a single extra game after all the work I did to install the plugin, fix the outdated PHP, fix the formatting, etc.

I got the impression that I would be able to install additional games from the way the plugin was described. I'm disappointed that is not the case without a lot of clumsy hacks, fees, and/or risk-taking, drawn-out attempts to contact various authors.

I am looking for the same thing, too. I'm surprised they aren't more readily available.

Some of the third party download sites have these, but you won't find one here at vbulletin.org, discussion of game availability is not permitted here as they cannot get involved in this. It has legal implications.
