Auto confirm new registration based on email

Is there a way to automatically approve a registration based on the email? Most of my members are coming from a .mil email address. I would like to auto approve them so they don't have to do the email confirmation. Is this available out of the box or is there a mod for this?

Thanks

I threw together a quick mod for this - it has no options, it's just hard coded for .mil addresses. I'm attaching the product xml file.

But while I was doing this I was thinking about it and I'm not sure it's all that useful. It's easy to get a hotmail or gmail address to register to a forum so requiring email verification doesn't deter spammers (and with this mod anyone can provide a fake .mil address), so it might make more sense to just turn off email verification.

Holy crap! I didn't expect this kind of response. Thanks a bunch! I'll install it and test it out. Mega thanks!

I see what you are saying about the registering with a fake .mil address to bypass the registration. I'm going to try this out for size and see how things go. I just wanted to make it easier for my folks that are signing up from a .mil address. My board is pretty small and I monitor it daily so I'll keep any eye out for any suspicious people using fake .mil accounts.

Thanks again!
