4.1.12 problems with hacks
 

I have been reading the last day or so that the new 4.1.12 version is making problems for a lot of hacks.

Apparently 4.1.12 have left out some Templates and such, and changed other things.
So once again I won't be upgrading to the latest version as like most i have a very heavy modded up site with mods from here.

Anyone found any other problems since upgrading? :confused:

No. And DBT hasn't had any problems since the upgrade with some 20+ mods installed.

Unless if you try to access these hacks using the Mobile Style. Then you'll get a blank page in all hacks. This is because in 4.1.12 Mobile Stle does not includes any 3nd party template. You need to recode the produc-xxx.xml file and put any template in <templates_mobile> section.

PS- Ofcourse I mean hacks which are having seperate templates and not those which are modifying the original vB templates.

Well that's stupid.

Is not that bad if you think that this way vB does not needs to load useless templates. The bad is that there was none notice about it, and wasted all my day yesterday trying to understand why my mods (not only mine but from other coders here) suddently stoped working after upgrading to 4.1.12:confused:

New Joe, it is suggested to do an upgrade onto your test site first prior to your live site so you can see if any of your hacks are effected by the upgrade.

I know Lynne, I already did, and half my board went crazy, the half with all the mods..lol..

I will wait a good while for things to get sorted before upgrading for real.
Like Chris said, more communication between both sites for the modification guys here would help a lot.
