Display Forums on vbCMS Home

I wanted to know if there is a way to display select forums on the vbCMS home page. Like the preview below. Something like an advanced forum widget or something...

I've never seen anything like that. Besides, if you did it then it would be like having the forum on a second page. What would be the point - these are two different things.
