vBulletin Blog comments - Possible to change dates?
 

Hiya

I am trying to import some phpBB blog entries into vBulletin Blogs manually and have a question on dates. While I can publish blog entries on the relevant dates, I can't seem to post comments on older dates.

Is it possible, somehow to modify the date of a comment posted on vbulletin blog?

How are you controlling the date that blog entries are published? The comments (and the blog entries) are in the db table "blog_text", so you could modify the dateline field for the comments.

Thanks kh99. Blog entries can be published for any date as there is an option when creating a new entry

There isn't, however, an option for the comments hence the question.

Oh, I see - I never considered using that to post with a past date. Anyway, you could probably modify the code to add a date field, but there is no built in option for comments. Or you might be able to do something clever like put the date as the first line in the comment then write a script to remove the first line and use it to update the dateline (but of course either of those options require programming).
