Changing my forum layout from vertical to horizontal..
Hello,
Sorry if there's already a thread similar to this providing help, I must've missed it. But, I was wondering how I would go about changing my forum layout from this: [Forum number 1] [Forum number 2] [Forum number 3] [Forum number 4] To something like this: [Forum number 1] [Forum number 2] [Forum number 3] [Forum number 4] I'd like to keep the layout so the last post posted shows and everything still, as well as the forum stats on posts and threads too but I'm not sure how to go about setting it all up. Helping me figure this out would be very, very helpful and hugely appreciated. Can anyone please help? |
I believe there is a modification which will do that. Did you try a search on perhaps "layout*" or "forum*" in All Mods/Titles Only?

Hello Lynne,
I'm very sorry but if there is, I must've missed it. I just did a few more searches and couldn't find what I was searching for. |

See, that's a nice mod. But instead of having different categories of forums side by side I was wondering if there was a way to have all forums with-in a category side by side.
For example this: [Category 1] [Forum 1] [Forum 2] [Forum 3] [Forum 4] [Category 2] [Forum 1] [Forum 2] [Forum 3] [Forum 4] Something like this. I hope it makes sense. |
I saw that one in my search also. Try different terms like "column*" and "sub-forum*" and "subforum*" etc.

Hey again, I just found something that was pretty helpful. It was this: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...s-side-by-side
I've added it to my forum but I've come across a few more issues. Here's a screenshot: http://files.abovetopsecret.com/file...uj4f7370c2.jpg (1) I was wondering if there was anyway to move where I've pointed the red arrows to where I've added the red lines - Basically move threads and posts to underneath the forum title. I was looking to add the "last post by" underneath those too if possible. (2) And I was wondering if there was also a way to remove the green subscribe marker on the forum home as well? That would be extremely helpful. EDIT: Oh, and just saw your reply now. I'll do a search for those also. EDIT AGAIN: Sorry, no modifications that I can find. |
I know there is a modification to do that (or there used to be). I wrote an article on how to use CSS to do what you are showing and then someone wrote a modification to do it shortly after using options and such. It's by someone who has released a ton of mods here, but his name is just escaping me now.
Noone can tell you how to change CSS issues (like the Threads: and Posts:) from an image. You would need to post a link. |
Ahh I see. Ok, well then in that case I'll keep doing more searches, I'm sure something will come up. :)
Please let me know if you find something also. Edit: Hmm, this is appearing to be a very elusive mod. I can't seem to find it anywhere. --------------- Added [DATE]1333056383[/DATE] at [TIME]1333056383[/TIME] --------------- Hey again, just wondering if there is any code to move forum stats (Like the amount of posts and threads a forum has) to the next line underneath the forum title but with it moved to the left hand side as well? I'm not quite sure how to do it. I tried just adding <br> but it sticks to the right hand side still and It won't move to the left. I can use CSS to set the forums up so they're side by side, as shown in a screenshot above, but the stats where they are right now are messing it up a bit and making some forums larger in height than others (as some forums are more active than others of course). I've had to remove the "last post by" as well as, like forums stats, they're messing thing's up a bit. I can't find any modification to do what I'm trying here as well which is why I'm asking. Sorry to be a pain. |
