I like anime but I really don't get the joke.

No not really.
You know there are diehard Bleach and Narato fans that just can't wait to see the next episode. After all they've sat through what is it now for Bleach, almost 900 something episodes?
What if like what happened to Inuyasha(sp?) happened to those two series? Fans would be suffering from major anime withdrawal. Going crazy. ( I lost interest in both after the first 5 epis of either one of them. And I own an anime forum...)
I saw this pic on a wallpaper site and knew what caption I was going to add to it even before the pic finished downloading.

Oh I'm glad I only watched about a hundred bleach episodes at the start. It sucks to see they're ending the anime while the manga is set to run for about another decade.

I get it now, heh.

Anime is Japanese cartoons. Pronounced ann-a-may.

Huh, I never knew I was so cool...I started watching anime 45 years ago. Was there earlier anime than Speed Racer? An after school staple was watching Johnny Sokko and Ultraman followed by Speed Racer...or was it the other way around?

Perhaps I worded that incorrectly. There has been about a 42 year intermission from the last time I watched anime.
