How many times a smiley has been used

Is there any way to tell how many times a certain smiley has been used? I'd like to see the most popular ones (and least popular) so I can do some cleaning out of the unused ones.

I saw an SQL query on here that worked for vb3, but I can't find one that works on 4.1.10.

Any help?
