How to strip forum down to minimal and display in contentarea of template

Hello

i just scanned the forum and could not find fitting tutorial.
What i'm trying to achieve is this: http://forum.spiegel.de/
- remove everything that i do not need and
- display the content in a template comming for a different system

Is there and guide/tutorial that deals with something like this?
