Recreate BBR Events or similiar

It was brilliant, espcially for communities where events were a main part of the site.

The calendar function at the moment is pretty dull in what it can do and is often overlooked by members.

At the moment I am having to add events to the calendar (so it shows on the forum home 'upcoming events').

Plus create a thread about the event in my events forum so discussion can take place regarding the event.

The above used to create a thread for the calendar entry if I remember correctly and link the two.

Would anyone be interested in recreating such a mod as I suspect it would be highley used among many communities and not just by myself.
