Change edit post time limit for few non moderators
 

I have a few users who are in a "contributor" role. These are not moderators. The regular users have a 15 minute time limit on post edit but I would like these contributors to have a 24 hour time window. How can I do this?

AFAIK you can't set different values for each usergroup, it's a global setting that will affect everyone.

Not really up to speed with vB code and don't want to break my live site. If someone can tell me what exactly to change and where, I would greatly appreciate it.

You should never put code directly onto your live site without testing it out on your test site first. So, try out your plugin skills on your test site. The plugin is basically written for you in the thread I linked you to. You just need to enter the correct usergroupids and the time limit you want them to have.
