Internet Surveillance Bill, WORSE Than SOPA: Explained

Another law that started with the best of attentions, gone completely wrong.

No rights
No warrant
No appeal
No privacy
No defense
No information
No right to sue

And you'll be add to a terrorist watch list if you do the following things, which will become / made illegal...

Proxy illegal
VPN illegal
Online Privacy illegal
Online Encryption illegal

Sponsored by the same man who sponsored SOPA and Protect IP.

Government's policy is... "You have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide" :erm:

I think it sounds fair. After all, over 80 percent of the internet doesn't use:

Proxy
VPN
Online Privacy (this one is questionable)
Online Encryption

And if you do use a Proxy/VPN, usually the case from what I've read/heard of is ban evasion... trying to play a game from some other country that you don't even live in, doing blackhat (and or hacking) activity behind these, etc..

I seriously doubt any bill is going to outlaw the use of VPN. Thousands of major companies use VPN technology with remote users.

Based on that common sense fact I now assume the enemies of this bill are using exaggeration about other parts of it as well.

Since https is "Online Encryption" this is clearly nonsense, no one is going to outlaw that.

As Joe says, VPNs are a common way to access corporate networks from home (both companies I work for use them). VPNs also connect networks to each other.

No government in their right mind would target Online Privacy either, in fact, most have laws around protecting it.

Apple did it, Google did it, Microsoft tried... rofl... iClouds are in danger... no?
